Licensed Nursing Assistant Certification Program
Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNA) provide care under the supervision nurses or other medical staff. They work in a team to ensure that residents receive high-quality and professional care. The duties of an LNA often involve care-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Must be employed by RiverMead as a Personal Care Assistant
- Must be self-directed and dependable
- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude!
- Must possess strong communication skills
How to apply:
We are currently accepting applications for our Personal Care Assistants (PCA). Once a qualified individual is a PCA at RiverMead for ninety days, they can apply for the LNA Program by submitting a letter of intent to the Director of Human Resources.
Course Overview:
This is a five-week program consisting of 110 hours.
- 50 hours of instructor-led class work
- 60 hours of clinical-based work
This course will prepare employees to provide residents with quality care as Licensed Nursing Assistants. It is a combination of instructor-led and clinical-based work in Assisted Living. Upon completing the course, employees will be equipped to take the state certification exam and submit their LNA license application to the Board of Nursing.
This is a program is offered free of charge to eligible RiverMead employees.
