RiverMead Retirement Community, which offers in-person certificate programs to their employees, is proud to celebrate eight graduates of their Medication Nursing Assistant program.

The course was designed to prepare employees to provide residents with quality care working under the supervision of nurses or other medical staff. It is comprised of instructor-led and clinical-based work in an Assisted Living environment. An MNA's duties involve caring for and working as a partner with the nurse to administer medication to residents.

Kristin Moses RN, BSN CHPN, teaches the board-approved education. Kristin has over 30 years of nursing experience and a passion for developing the next generation of nursing professionals. All learning is provided on the beautiful RiverMead campus following the board requirements for theory and clinical practice.

"We are honored and elated to celebrate the accomplishments of our MNA Course graduates," said Kristin. "Our graduates have enhanced their knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical skills. They have shown a great passion for their line of work and will go forward with the skills necessary to pivot, adapt, and meet challenges with courage and determination."

Residents and staff enjoy participating in the professional growth and development of the students. Classes will be held several times throughout the year with ongoing opportunities for enrollment.
