Our Annual Lobsterfest

Back to blog

This past Friday, RiverMead residents gathered their family and friends for an annual RiverMead tradition that celebrates New England culture by serving lobster and other traditional New England foods. This year, more than 200 lobsters were served!

The lobsters were rich and juicy and served with drawn butter. The traditional side dishes included New England Clam Chowder, baked potatoes, steamers, BBQ Chicken, corn on the cob, assorted desserts, and ice cream.

“The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. We sat on the patio and enjoyed ice-cold beer from the local brewery. It was a lovely evening to be outside and enjoy some friendly competition with horseshoes and cornhole. The culinary department looked like they had fun decorating the dining room in a seafood theme. The staff did a fantastic job! Although this was not a formal event, many residents dressed nicely and were all outfitted with bibs that had lobsters on them. This lighthearted community event brought together so many people and is just one of the things that makes living at RiverMead great. The reason we all love these events is because they bring us all together to enjoy some great food, a lot of laughs, and a whole lot of fun.”

- Frank Manley, RiverMead Resident
