Here at RiverMead, we advocate for career development. What's important to us is that our employees have the tools to grow their knowledge, skillset, and careers. We want to help them make that journey through education and mentorship. One great way we've helped our employees grow is through the Leading with Confidence management course offered by LeadingAge. LeadingAge is an association of nonprofit aging services providers and other mission-driven organizations serving older adults.

This full three-day management course helps the attendees enhance clear, practical, and applicable skills in leadership. We sent our Operations Manager, Richard Blydenburgh-Cote, Program Manager, Melissa Boisvert, and Health Center Scheduler, Torrie Crowder. We must see leadership as a community, and with the skills and resources they have been exposed to, they will be better equipped to manage any situation they may face in their roles.

The facilitator, Del Gilbert, a certified leadership coach with 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, facilitates the program. He delivers around 100 keynotes, workshops, and presentations annually, and recent graduates say that "This course should be a requirement for all managers." This is precisely why we have sent our employees to work with him. They receive immeasurable resources to help them develop themselves in business.

We are passionate about hiring talented workers and advancing their knowledge and skill set. Building a community that cultivates growth and lifts others is the foundation of our success as a strong employer in the Monadnock Region.
